sofía páez designer
Sofía has been a licensed Architect in Costa Rica since 2017. She built her own studio for three years, working on a wide range of projects. During this time, she found her passion for adaptive reuse in architecture, and so went on to earn her master’s degree in adaptive reuse at the Rhode Island School of Design’s interior architecture department. She graduated in 2021, and joined designLAB shortly after. She is currently working on the renovation of Tower Court at Wellesley College.
In her design process, she seeks designs that are respectful of their surroundings whether natural or man-made. Outside of the studio, she enjoys traveling, film photography, and the circus. She finds that other creative mediums can bring so much to the creative process.
