international fund for animal welfare
Yarmouthport, Massachusetts
The World Headquarters for the International Fund for Animal Welfare is a new 60,000sf home for this influential and dynamic global organization. Three simple, clean volumes are arranged around a reclaimed brownfield site, reconstructing a native coastal drumlin. The building is designed as a contemporary vision of vernacular Cape Cod architecture to facilitate open communication, collaboration and interaction, while promoting IFAW’s global mission to provide a better world for people and animals.

impact
Previously scattered across three different building in two different towns, the new headquarters building brought the entire main office under one roof. The open floor plan and centrally located conference rooms increased communication and collaboration across the 13 departments. The new space supports the organization’s work worldwide, and the improvements have supported their campaigns and outreach effectiveness.
