The versatility of common furniture materials tends to be overlooked, resulting in stale, cookie-cutter designs. Erick aimed to break from this monotony and create a unique piece of furniture by exploring the structural properties of wood, steel, and glass. Each material is used in tandem with another to create seamless, yet unconventional connections. The importance of craft and detail in this project was paramount to the success of not only the aesthetics, but the structure as well.
