tidal forest

Using the natural movement of the tides and the basic physics of the Bernoulli Principle, Tidal Forest creates a field of hydro-inflatable trees whose size and density ebb and flow with the lunar cycle of the tides.  The environmental change mimics the changing density of a deciduous forest over a daily, rather than seasonal, cycle.

The path through the forest is occasionally interrupted by clearings filled with sound and light pools.  Human sized wind chimes hang at the center of lighted pools of water.  These pools take advantage of the change in visual density to introduce new sensory experiences.
