Rand joined designLAB in April 2023. He is currently working as a designer on the Revere Thayer Boathouse.
Rand earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design. Throughout his academic journey, Rand developed a passion for architectural and art history and its intersection with the creative process. As the captain of his collegiate cycling team, Rand gained valuable leadership and teamwork experience. He enjoys the design process first and foremost, regardless of the context. Rand believes that architecture is the purest distillation of culture and nature, and refining limitless potential into something ordered brings him immense satisfaction. He seeks to improve people’s lives through architecture by creating meaningful and beautiful spaces.
Rand was raised in Charleston, SC and currently lives in the Boston area. In his free time he enjoys cooking, playing with his dog, and exploring the city by bike.
